That’s why nostalgia is at the core of the Candle Carousel brand and each of our candles is designed to ignite a special memory and evoke a positive feeling. We wanted to find a way to secure your favourite memories from the past while using modern technology to bring them to life. 

Seasons REvisited, Sensations RElived 

 Lighting a Carousel Candle is like driving down a road well travelled. It’s comforting and familiar like our favourite blanket or our childhood pet. It’s like reminiscing with friends, we repeat the same stories over and over again that light up our eyes and make our hearts happy and they never get old. Why do we do this? To get that little warm glow of joy of course. We wanted to find a way to bring those memories to the forefront without having to leave your home. One strike of the match and you’re taken right back to your favourite movie, your favourite date, your favourite season. 

Holding on to Old Traditions 

So why do we put so much importance on the notion of holding onto old traditions? There’s some comfort that comes with holding on to old traditions and this notion is at the very heart of our brand. Our scents take you back to a simpler time before the internet existed and connections were physical, not virtual. We know that happiness and wellbeing come from human connection not communicating through a screen and we want to hold on to the nostalgia of days gone by. 

Using Modern Technology for the Greater Good

We all know that modern technology has its downsides. However, while we love to hark back to the good old days when times were simpler, we also want to acknowledge the positives that come with modern technology and how we use it for the greater good.

Charlene the founder commented, “The candle carousel has tried to embody old fashioned traditions and the life simplicity pre-internet in terms of values and reconnecting with the self and each other, whilst attempting to embrace the positive aspects of the modern world and technological advancement by using animation to enhance the fragrance experience, spread positivity further afield and engage a wide audience with our charitable initiatives for animals.”

We love how we can speak about things that are important to us and we instantly have a platform that ensures our voice is heard. Constructive voicing of opinions and expressing solutions and ideas has never been easier. We believe in balance and we find ours by shunning the sides of technology that do not serve us and cherry-picking the parts that allow our souls to thrive.
